D-Day Reflections: Honoring the Brave, Serving Them Today

On June 6, 1944, thousands of Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy. It was a defining moment in our history. It was a day marked by incredible courage, selflessness, and sacrifice. The men who jumped from planes and waded through surf under heavy fire had no idea what would come next, but they went anyway.
At K3 Holdings, we take this day to pause and remember those heroes. We owe them more than words or monuments. We owe them, and those who fought before and after they did, dignity and respect.
That’s why we believe honoring our veterans means doing more than remembering their service, it means showing up for our veterans especially when they need us most.
Far too many veterans in our communities are struggling. Some are battling PTSD. Others are facing job loss or health issues. And tragically, too many are experiencing homelessness. These are the same men and women who once put everything on the line for our nation, and now they’re sleeping in shelters, in cars, or on the street.
That’s not acceptable. We all know that. But knowing these hard truths is not enough, we must take action.
At K3 Holdings and Alpine LA Properties, we remain deeply committed to helping solve the homelessness crisis, especially among our veterans. We’re working directly with local government leaders, nonprofit organizations, and housing advocates across the country to expand access to affordable housing.
Our work is about more than physical buildings. We are about building trust, building partnerships, and building systems that don’t leave anyone behind.
Every veteran deserves a place to call home and we are proud to be a part of the solution.
So today, as we reflect on D-Day and the incredible bravery of those who served, we also look forward with determination. We owe our veterans more than a salute. We owe them a future where no one who served this country is left without a roof over their head.
To all who served, we see you. We thank you. And we’re fighting for you too.
